About Me
Hi, I’m Paul, a teacher, problem solver and lifelong learner with a passion for making education more engaging, practical and creative.
Teaching
I’ve worked in education for nearly two decades across general science, biology, physics and computer science.
Background
I originally studied marine biology, and then trained as a biology teacher before later retraining as a physics teacher. I now consider myself a teacher of science. Bringing together curiosity and problem solving.
Computing in Science
I’m interested in using tools like BBC micro:bit and Raspberry Pi Pico to bring coding into science lessons.
Building Tools
SecondarySea is a space for interactive resources, animations and apps designed to support teachers and help students understand concepts more clearly.
Beyond the Classroom
I strongly believe extracurricular activities help students grow, while also keeping teachers motivated and learning.
Lifelong Learning
At heart, I enjoy building, experimenting and solving problems, continuing to learn new things along the way. Currently I am enjoying learning to code, web develop and 3D print :-)
